Who We Are TEST
ARZA Canada is an affiliate of the Union for Reform Judaism and its Canadian Council. We are a member organization of ARZENU, the International Association of Reform Zionists, and the Canadian Zionist Federation. With over 6,000 members, our mandate is to connect with Reform communities throughout Canada, foster connections with and strengthen our ties to the Reform Movement in Israel, and work to realize the vision of Reform Zionism.
We believe in fostering a pluralistic, democratic society in the State of Israel, where no particular religious interpretation of Judaism takes legal precedence over another.
We believe in promoting an interest in Israel, and Zionist activities, in Progressive Jewish communities throughout Canada.
We believe in strengthening Jewish communities both here and in Israel by advocating the views of Reform Jews within Zionist institutions.
We are ARZA Canada – the Association of Reform Zionists of Canada – and we invite you to join us in demonstrating your active commitment to Israel, and to the values of the Reform Movement in Israel and in the World Zionist Organization and the Jewish Agency for Israel.

At ARZA Canada, we’re committed to building relationships between Reform Jews in Canada and in Israel, and with committed Zionists around the world. To this end, we engage in a wide range of programs and initiatives designed to strengthen our ties with the Israel Movement for Progressive Judaism and deepen our connection with Canada’s broader Jewish community. These include:
- Developing educational programs to promote awareness of, and support for, Israel throughout our communities and congregations.
- Fostering stronger connections between the Canadian Reform Movement and the Israel Reform Movement -
from a congregational perspective, an individual perspective and between our constituent organizations.
- Actively advocating on matters of importance to Israel and liberal Judaism, both within Canada and around the world.
- Increasing our membership so that we can continue to speak as one of the largest religious Zionist organizations in the country.
